Katee Sackhoff is an American actress, model and author. After starting her acting career in television and film productions, she gained critical recognition for her performance as Delta Burke in the ABC series Desperate Housewives. Katee Sackhoff was born on November 20, 1965 in Los Angeles, California to parents who were both actors. Sackhoff started her career at the young age of 6, appearing in a number of commercials and television shows. In 1984, she made her feature film debut in the horror movie “The Faculty”. She went on to appear in a number of successful films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including “Babes in Toyland”, “The Dream Team”, “Ransom” and “Knight Rider”. In 1997, Sackhoff won an Emmy Award for her performance as Lt. Kara Thrace on the TV series “Battlestar Galactica”. She reprised her role for four seasons (1998-2002).
